About This Episode

Dr. Jane E. Hunt is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Society and Design at Bond University, Australia. She has been lecturing for 15 years, and researching in the field of Australian cultural history for even longer. After seeing the Sydney Olympic trial race and Olympic triathlons her husband took up triathlon and joined Balmoral Triathlon Club in 2000. Being from a running background Jane resisted friendly club pressure to try a triathlon. The following season she gave in, learned to swim and ride, loved finishing strong on the run, and competed in longer and longer events. The history of triathlon in Australia project offered a perfect way of combining her interest and research.
