Rowyn James is the race director of one of the world’s most iconic endurance events: the Comrades Marathon in South-Africa.

Rowyn started his career as the Sports Marketing Manager of Nike South Africa before joining the Deloitte Pretoria Marathon organising committee. Before joining the Comrades team, he was the Race Director of that other iconic South-African ultra-running event: the Two Oceans Marathon. He is a qualified Athletics South Africa level 2 official and the proud owner of 15 Comrades Marathon medals.
